About the Role
Performs components of occupational therapy procedures and related tasks under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, in accordance with occupational therapy practices. The patient population ranges in age from 18 years to geriatric, experiencing rehabilitation diagnoses, conditions, or conditions requiring rehabilitation. Assists patients in achieving their maximum functional performance while learning to live within their capabilities. Records patient responses to treatment and reports outcomes to the Occupational Therapist.
Requirements
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross (online certification is not acceptable).
Qualifications
Desired: Inpatient rehabilitation experience.
