Job Summary

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant will serve as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, providing therapeutic recreational and activity services to all patient populations including Special Needs, Adult, Child and Adolescent. They will use a person-centered, trauma-informed approach to support recovery and wellness.

Essential Functions

  • Develops and conducts group therapy
  • Provides assessment to identify patient needs
  • Documents pertinent clinical data following group
  • Provides individual assessment to patients as needed and makes recommendations to treatment team regarding needs for specialized rehab services or for planning for discharge and aftercare support
  • Assists in maintaining unit arts supplies and reports issues to the Director
  • Assists as necessary for projects, reports, and other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Effective group facilitation

Requirements

  • Associates degree in occupational therapy from an AOTA-accredited program
  • Current licensure by the Board of Allied Health Professionals, Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • American Occupational Therapy Association membership preferred
  • IRF and/or LTACH experience preferred
  • Current Certification in BLS of Adult, Child and Infant
  • 2 - 3 years of inpatient/outpatient psychiatric/substance use experience (willing to train individuals with a passion to learn)

Pay

$54,080 - 79,040
