Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Per Diem

Compensation: $38.00 per hour

Select Specialty Hospital - Akron is a critical illness recovery hospital committed to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. We help patients during some of the most vulnerable, painful moments of their lives — and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent care every step of the way.

Reporting directly to the Occupational Therapist, you will be treating patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Monitor patient's response to treatment and modify treatment during sessions as indicated in collaboration with an OT.
• Complete appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.

Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required or as required by state regulations.
