Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, COTA - Home Health Visits

About the role

BAYADA Home Health Care has a prn position for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide 8–10 visits per week for our Davidson County Visits office located in Thomasville, NC. This position works with our adult and geriatric clients in homes throughout Chatham and Lee counties in North Carolina. As a home health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the medical care required to remain at home.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services in clients’ homes across Chatham and Lee counties
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver rehabilitative care and skilled nursing
• Support clients in maintaining safety, comfort, independence, and dignity at home

Requirements

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant by the State of North Carolina
• Graduated from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA (evidenced by school transcript or diploma)
• At least one year of work experience under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist
• Willing to travel within the assigned territory
