Join a collaborative rehabilitation team providing occupational therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in a skilled nursing and post-acute care setting. Whether you’re an experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or a recent graduate, this position offers mentorship, clinical support, and opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled occupational therapy treatments based on individualized care plans.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, upper extremity function, and functional independence.
- Monitor patient performance and communicate progress to the Occupational Therapist.
- Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation.
- Partner with nursing staff, physicians, rehabilitation professionals, and caregivers to coordinate quality patient care.
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and home safety recommendations.
- Maintain compliance with Medicare, state, federal, and company guidelines.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current Kansas Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
- Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, inpatient rehabilitation, or post-acute care is helpful but not required.
- New graduate COTAs are welcome to apply.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered rehabilitation.
