Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

About the role

Responsible for providing occupational therapy services to patients in a rehabilitation setting. Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide hands-on therapy sessions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify functional limitations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve physical, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
• Document progress notes and maintain accurate medical records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state.
• At least one year of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems.

Skills

• Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and principles.
