Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

About the role

Kadima Rehabilitation & Nursing at Latrobe is immediately seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehab team. This position is available on a Full Time, Part Time, or PRN basis.

Responsibilities

• Optimize physical abilities and skills of patients by assisting in protocols of screening
• Implement treatment for all assigned patients
• Deliver treatment to achieve identified objectives according to the established treatment plan
• Accurately document progress toward objectives and communicate patient status and needs to the patient and the patient's family
• Expand and enhance clinical expertise, professional and management skills through interaction with managers and other professional staff
• Submit billing, payroll and expense documentation in an accurate and timely manner
• Assist in collection of statistics and updating records
• Inform appropriate staff and managers of patient progress and facility issues
• Contribute to facility rehab goals and plans
• Comply with infection control procedures and environment safety protocol within a facility
• Embrace the team concept and interdisciplinary care

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania state license
• Graduate of a COTA approved school for Occupational Therapy
• SNF/LTC experience preferred
