About the Role

Join CommuniCare Rehab, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Charleston Healthcare Center. This full-time position offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus and allows you to make a direct impact on residents' lives through in-house therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Help clients improve their quality of life by assisting them in compensating for limitations, such as aiding injured workers in regaining motor skills to re-enter the labor force, and teaching individuals with learning disabilities to perform tasks like meal preparation or using public transportation to increase independence.
• Implement treatment plans through direct treatment, collaboration with Occupational Therapists, education of treatment staff and team members, and family consultation and training.
• Comply with the documentation requirements of the rehab department and facility under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

Requirements

• Completion of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program from an accredited two-year associate degree program.
• Hold a valid or pending State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License.
