The Role

Our team-focused Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) deliver rehabilitative care under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, supporting patient progress, independence, and high-quality, patient-centered outcomes.

  • Assist with patient assessments, treatment planning, and goal achievement
  • Provide therapy services, monitor progress, and document outcomes
  • Collaborate with patients and care teams to deliver age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care
  • Maintain a safe, organized therapy environment and follow safety protocols

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
  • Current State Licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant required
  • BLS/CPR Certification required
  • While 1 year of direct patient care experience in a rehabilitation hospital is preferred; new grads are encouraged to apply

Physical Requirements

  • A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods of time
  • Both gross and precise motor functions
  • Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs
  • Possible exposure to bodily fluids
  • Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care
  • Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard
