About the role
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team in a skilled nursing setting. The ideal candidate will enjoy hands-on patient care, value teamwork, and want to help residents regain confidence and independence in their daily lives.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of the Occupational Therapist
- Help residents improve everyday skills including dressing, grooming, transfers, and functional mobility
- Use therapeutic activities and adaptive techniques to support recovery and independence
- Encourage resident participation and build positive therapeutic relationships
- Communicate resident progress and maintain accurate documentation
Qualifications
- Active COTA license required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Skilled nursing experience preferred but not required
