About the role

We are Regency Care of Rogue Valley, a skilled nursing community providing quality care to the residents we serve, located in Grants Pass, OR. We are looking for caring and compassionate resident-minded individuals to join our team at our Regency Care of Rogue Valley and Laurell Hill locations. This position offers a $5,000 welcome bonus and relocation assistance for full-time employees.

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant assumes clinical responsibility in an assigned facility. This is a professional position with the primary responsibility of direct patient care under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist. Additional duties of an administrative nature are to be performed as assigned.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, follow all state-specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care.
Follow the treatment plan only as defined by the Occupational Therapist; perform only those procedures that the COTA is qualified and trained to perform.
Make all recommendations for changes in the plan of care to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

Requirements

A degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the assigned state (must possess prior to onboarding and maintain).
Adaptability, compassion, attention to detail, and a friendly, courteous demeanor.
A moderate degree of physical strength is needed to assist patients.
Ability to kneel, stoop, and stand for long periods of time with or without accommodation.
