About the Role

Regency Hermiston is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic in-house therapy team. This professional position focuses on direct patient care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, with additional administrative duties as assigned. You will serve as a therapy resource that enhances the quality of life for residents, embodying the Regency spirit of working with seniors and their families to bring independence and quality to life.

Responsibilities

• Follow all state-specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care.
• Adhere to the treatment plan as defined by the Occupational Therapist; perform only those procedures the COTA is qualified and trained to perform.
• Make recommendations for changes in the plan of care to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the assigned state.
• Adaptability, compassion, attention to detail, and a friendly, courteous demeanor.
• Moderate degree of physical strength to assist patients, including the ability to kneel, stoop, and stand for long periods with or without accommodation.
