Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant - COTA

About the role

We are Regency Gresham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, offering skilled nursing and long-term care services while focusing on the unique qualities of each individual in a compassionate and caring environment. We are looking for like-minded individuals to join our team. A $7,500 welcome bonus is available for full-time positions.

This is a professional position with the primary responsibility of direct patient care under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist. Additional duties of an administrative nature are to be performed as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, follow all state-specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care.
• Follow the treatment plan only as defined by the Occupational Therapist; perform only those procedures that the COTA is qualified and trained to perform.
• Make all recommendations for changes in the plan of care to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

Requirements

• A degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the assigned state (must possess prior to onboarding and maintain).
• Adaptability, compassion, attention to detail, and a friendly, courteous demeanor.
• A moderate degree of physical strength due to the exertion required to assist patients.
• Ability to kneel, stoop, and stand for long periods of time with or without accommodation.
