Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant - COTA

About the role

We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to join our team as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant. This is a professional position with the primary responsibility of direct patient care under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist. Additional duties of an administrative nature are to be performed as assigned.

Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will follow all state-specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care, adhere to the treatment plan defined by the Occupational Therapist, and perform only those procedures you are qualified and trained to perform. You will make recommendations for changes in the plan of care to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

Requirements

• A degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the assigned state (must possess prior to onboarding and maintain).
• Adaptability, compassion, attention to detail, and a friendly, courteous demeanor.
• A moderate degree of physical strength due to the exertion required to assist patients.
• Ability to kneel, stoop, and stand for long periods of time with or without accommodation.
