About the role
Our Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care to individuals with various medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges.
Responsibilities
- Treating patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Moderating patient responses to treatment and adjusting treatment plans during sessions in collaboration with an OT.
- Completing necessary documentation in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.
Requirements
- Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
- Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required or as required by state regulations.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
- Completion of a national certification exam.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and interventions.
