Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

About the role

Our Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care to individuals with various medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges.

Responsibilities

• Treating patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Moderating patient responses to treatment and adjusting treatment plans during sessions in collaboration with an OT.
• Completing necessary documentation in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
• Participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.

Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required or as required by state regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
• Completion of a national certification exam.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and interventions.

Pay

• $30.47 - $41.00 per hour.
