Job Summary

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant will provide occupational therapy modalities and treatment procedures as directed by an occupational therapist. This includes evaluating patients, implementing care plans, and collaborating with therapists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a professional training program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
  • NBCOT certification and current Occupational Therapist license, registration, and/or certification as per state regulations
  • Knowledge of clinical techniques, procedures, and equipment relevant to the occupational therapy field
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals
  • Basic computer skills including email and document handling

Physical Demands

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift/move more than 100 pounds
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear
  • Stand, walk, sit, reach, kneel, and crouch frequently
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
