Responsibilities
- Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Conduct therapy sessions with residents, including exercises, activities, and training to improve daily living skills
- Provide quality care and support to residents, promoting independence, safety, and dignity
- Maintain accurate records of resident progress and treatment plans
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements
- Active license & certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Missouri
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents with mobility and transfer techniques
- Basic knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and principles
