About the role
Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) providing direct occupational therapy care in a skilled nursing facility setting.
Responsibilities
- Implement and follow occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Chart patient progress accurately, utilize therapy software, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Maintain confidentiality, adhere to policies, and ensure safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist in patient evacuation when needed and demonstrate professionalism and dependability.
Qualifications
- NBCOT certification (renewal optional).
- Graduate of an accredited OT program.
- Current state licensure.
- CPR certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Good communication skills.
- Good body mechanics, judgment, and ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Key Duties
- Follow treatment plans and document patient progress.
- Support patient functional improvement and participate in community health projects.
- Maintain professional relationships and uphold company policies, including confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude in a patient-centered environment.
