Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans focused on functional independence.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve ADLs, IADLs, strength, coordination, cognition, and safety.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate, timely clinical records.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home programs and strategies to support continued progress.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment.
- Collaborate with the rehabilitation team and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate treatment responses to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.
Requirements
- Graduate of (or anticipated graduation from) an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current Kansas OTA license, or eligibility for licensure upon graduation.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent documentation and time-management skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and functional outcomes.
- Interest in rural healthcare and collaborative teamwork.
