About the role
As an Enhance Rehabilitation occupational therapist assistant, you will work under the guidance of an occupational therapist to assist in treating patients. You will follow an individualized plan of care developed by Occupational Therapists and ensure that every patient receives quality treatment leading to excellent functional outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement occupational therapy treatment programs based on each patient's particular needs.
- Aid patients through all phases of Occupational Therapy treatment and techniques.
- Communicate with patients about their treatment and document patient conditions and responses to treatments in charts after each visit.
- Interact continuously with Occupational Therapists, Directors of Rehab, and facility staff.
- Operate and apply knowledge of standard occupational therapy equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in your state.
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Passing score on the national certification exam for Occupational Therapy Assistants.
- Knowledge of standard occupational therapy equipment and techniques.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
