CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT - THE KEMPTON of CHARLESTON

About the role

Assists residents with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and all ADLs as needed during shift. Assists with oral hygiene including denture care when getting up in the morning, after meals, at bedtime, and/or when needed. Completes patient care records at end of shift, including accurate I and O. Performs other duties as assigned. Assists charge nurse with resident needs and treatments as directed.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient care records at end of shift, including accurate I and O.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Affords assistance to the charge nurse with resident needs and treatments as directed.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be certified nursing assistant, listed in the DFS registry.
• Willingness to care for geriatric patients and have a genuine concern for their welfare.
• Willingness to receive, understand, and follow orders.
• Attendance at in-service training and other staff meetings as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified nursing assistant, listed in the DFS registry.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.

Pay

• $15.00 per hour.
