About the role

Monterey Park Hospital, a 101‑acute care facility located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant or Nursing Assistant for our Med/Surg Unit. This is a full‑time, 12‑hour night shift position reporting to the Director of Med/Surg.

Responsibilities

• Receives assignments from the Charge RN
• Takes direction from the RN &/or LVN
• Delivers high‑quality, individualized basic nursing care
• Utilizes knowledge of the patient’s age, developmental status, spiritual and cultural diversity in the provision of patient care
• Contributes to the provision of safety and quality nursing care that results in positive patient outcomes

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Current CA Nursing Assistant Certification preferred
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association required

Skills

• Knowledge of patient’s age, developmental status, spiritual and cultural diversity
• Ability to deliver individualized basic nursing care
• Ability to follow direction from RN/LVN and Charge RN
