Responsibilities
- Participates in a patient-focused team approach of providing direct and collaborative health care in a variety of clinical settings designed to promote and restore optimal health across the life span.
- Performs a variety of technical, para-professional, rehabilitative or therapeutic procedures and activities relating to patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- As a member of the health care team will carry out individualized programs of restorative/rehabilitative/therapeutic activities.
- Performs and documents Vital Signs (Temperature | Pulse | Respirations | BP | Pulse Ox).
- Affixes patient in performing ADLs (Hygiene | Feeding | Dressing | Toileting | Grooming | Ambulation).
- Performs and documents Intake & Output.
- Performs/Facilitates Foley Care.
- Performs/Assists with specimen collection (Sputum | Urine | Stool | Saliva).
- Performs/Assists with transferring and repositioning of patient.
- Provides 1:1 patient observation and monitoring as requested.
- Performs other duties/tasks within the CNA scope of work as requested.
Requirements
- Current NYS CNA Certification
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- BLS
