Certified Nursing Assistant - Med Surg - PRN - Night Shift - Chabert Campus

About the role

We are seeking a supportive individual to assist in maintaining patient safety and delivering basic patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This role involves providing continuous monitoring of patients and communicating effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment.
• Support the implementation of the patient's care plan as directed by the nurse.
• Communicate patient care needs to patients, families, and other staff members.
• Complete documentation of patient-related tasks accurately and timely.
• Adapt behavior to meet the specific needs of the patient population, including respecting privacy and adjusting communication styles.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the nursing staff.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Hospital and telemetry experience.
• Current state practice certification as a Nurses' Assistant (CNA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association to be obtained within 30 days from hire.
• Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification to be obtained within 30 days from hire.

Qualifications

Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work flexible schedules, including 24/7, weekends, holidays, and on-call availability.
