Certified Nursing Assistant | Long Term Care

Avera Granite Falls Health Care Center is seeking a Regular Worker for a Night Shift position.

About the role

Accountable for providing direct, personal care and services to residents in the skilled nursing facility, meeting their physical, academic, social, and spiritual needs daily to maintain and improve their highest level of independent function.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, shaving, oral hygiene, bed making, transfers, toileting, feeding, answering call lights, and maintaining a clean environment.
• Performs routine and non-routine duties as directed by nursing staff, including assisting with restorative exercises, collecting specimens, and documenting care.
• Assesses and documents resident conditions, pain management, and other important concerns, and provides feedback to nursing staff.
• Restocks supplies, maintains a clean work environment, and participates in providing emotional, educational, and spiritual support for families.
• Maintains confidentiality, reports abuse or misappropriation, and complies with all policies and procedures related to fire, tornado, evacuation, disaster plan, universal precautions, infection control, and hazardous chemical communication.

Requirements

• Active MN CNA license or enrollment in a MN CNA class ending within 30 days of applying.
• Ability to work the specified hours.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent preferred.
• Less than 1 year of related experience or training preferred.

Skills

• Visual acuity adequate for position duties.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $19.75 - $26.00 per hour, actual pay rate dependent upon experience.

Schedule

Night shift from 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., 32 hours per week, every other weekend and holiday rotation.
