About the role

The role of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Companion at Maine Medical Center involves providing supervision, companionship, and support to patients under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse. Responsibilities

• Supervise and closely observe selected patients for identified behaviors.
• Assist in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Perform a variety of direct and indirect care duties.

Requirements

Required:

• Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required.
• Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
• One year of relevant experience required.
• Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Certified Nursing Assistant I role.
