Certified Nursing Assistant (General Medicine)
Additional position details: 0.6 FTE, part-time, variable schedule nights.

A Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible and accountable for their practice for assigned patient(s), contributing to the utilization of the nursing process, under the supervision and direction of the RN, and performs all duties in accordance with department policies and procedures and scope of practice. Responsibilities
- Become a vital member of the patient care team and build strong relationships with the CNAs and RNs.
- Promote patient safety and comfort while actively participating in patient satisfaction.
- Demonstrate advanced Responsive Observations knowledge base in practice of care.
- Document patient and family responses and effectiveness of teaching and interventions per department standards.
- Provide excellent communication between staff and patients and patient families.
- Promote and maintain Asante’s Vision and Values.
Requirements
- CNA certified by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) is required upon start.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis (e.g., transferring a patient in and out of a bed).
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist, and perform other awkward physical movements.
Pay
Salary range: $19.27 - $26.50 per hour.
- Shift differentials: $1.21/hr. for working between 3:00pm - 11:00pm.
- Shift differentials: $2.05/hr. for working between 11:01pm and 7:00am.
- Additional $1.05/hr. for working weekends.
