About the role

Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Geriatric Psychiatry team on a Full-time basis. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for administering direct patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or other qualified staff. This position may also perform general clerical duties to ensure the smooth operation of the unit.

Essential Functions

• Assumes direct patient care responsibilities as assigned by the Registered Nurse and/or other qualified staff
• Assists patients in ADLs in an effective and timely manner
• Ensures patients' safety
• Performs clerical duties to assist in the smooth operation of the unit
• Participates in continued personal growth and development
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

• Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant training program
• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• Prefer previous experience in a hospital and/or healthcare setting
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire
• Non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training every two years on a rolling calendar

Skills

• Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position
• Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills. Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.

Schedule

Full Time, 1.0 FTE 40 hours per week. Scheduled Days: Monday - Friday. Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Occasional Weekends Every 3rd Holiday.
