$5,000 Sign On Bonus for Full Time

The Certified Nursing Assistant cares for residents under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or a licensed practical/vocational nurse. This role assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), ensures a safe and comfortable environment, and supports licensed nursing staff in delivering individualized care in accordance with regulatory requirements and facility policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care, including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinent care as applicable, oral hygiene and feeding
• Measure and record vital signs, weight, percentage of meal consumed intake/output as directed
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and position using proper body mechanics and lift equipment as applicable
• Respond promptly to call lights, resident needs, and changes in condition; report observations to licensed nursing staff
• Support residents’ independence and dignity, while ensuring safety and comfort
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and in accordance with facility procedures
• Follow infection control, safety, and universal precaution guidelines at all times
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive living environment
• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment
• Provide postmortem care
• Provide skin care and observe residents’ skin when giving care and report changes to licensed nurse
• Contribute to the residents’ assessment (MDS/CAA’s) and the plan of care

Requirements

• High School Graduate/GED
• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the certification board or is a graduate of a state approved nursing assistant training program and passed a state approved competency examination (written and skills) within 120 days of employment; name entered into state nurse aide registry
• Meets all state and federal criminal background check requirements
• Computer skills are required
