About the role

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position at Riverside Sanders in Gloucester, VA offers flexible scheduling with a minimum commitment of one weekday shift and one weekend per month.

Responsibilities

• Works under the supervision of Nursing Manager, Supervisor, RN, LPN and is ultimately responsible to the Director and the Assistant Director of Nursing, as applicable.
• Performs tasks essential to the direct care of the resident according to nursing home facility policy and procedures.
• Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.
• Affords assistance with ensuring hygiene, appearance, safety and nutritional needs of residents are met.
• Provides resident care and services to maintain or improve resident functional status to highest practical ability.
• Documents accurately in EMR resident's ADL care, personal hygiene, bowel and bladder habits, and behaviors.
• Fulfills universal precautions, proper infection control, sanitation and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year prior Nurse Aide work experience (Preferred).
• Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) upon hire.
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 days.
• First Aid - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Experience less than 1 year.
• Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP).
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC).
• First Aid - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC).

Range $18.90 - $24.60/Hourly. Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
