About the role
Ten Broeck Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) for overnight (11p-7a) shifts. Ten Broeck Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing is a 258-bed facility recognized for outstanding delivery of subacute and long-term care. We provide a calm, friendly, and healthy environment for residents and employees.
Pay
Best rates in the area up to $24.50/hr with differentials offered. Starting pay range: $18.00–$24.50/hour.
Sign-on Bonus
$1,500 sign-on bonus.

Daily Pay
Daily pay available.
Responsibilities
- Perform activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, assistance with nutrition and hydration, ambulation, feeding, incontinence care, toileting, oral hygiene, skin care, grooming (hair, nails, shaving)
- Provide bowel and bladder assistance and maintenance rehab
- Understand and apply least restrictive device regulations and proper use of restraint devices
- Provide care for residents with special needs related to diagnosis (e.g., behavioral issues, splints)
- Report all cases of alleged mistreatment, neglect, abuse, or injuries of unknown sources
- Document resident care accurately and completely at point of care using computerized medical record system
- Note resident changes of condition and report to LPN/RN
- Answer call bells in a timely and polite manner
- Assist in post-mortem care
- Perform vital signs as directed
- Receive and give report at shift change
- Make two-hour and PRN rounds on all residents
- Maintain clean unit; straighten nourishment station, clean and dirty utility rooms, and other assigned areas
- Ensure residents are out of bed, dressed, and ready to participate in activities
- Provide assistance with ADLs during activities if necessary
- Assist residents to participate in individual activities of choice (e.g., set up equipment, positioning assistance, sufficient lighting and space)
- Care for multiple residents in the facility
- Observe resident rights
- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist nurse with admitting, transferring, and discharging residents
- Assist nurse in giving treatments and examining residents
- Assist with restorative and rehab care under proper instruction and supervision
- Report to work as scheduled and demonstrate dependability and punctuality
Requirements
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of New York
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
- Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel
