Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Memory Care

About the role

Come work with America’s Heroes, where it is our honor to “Serve Those Who Served!” Our Memory Care CNAs provide hands-on care and support to veterans experiencing memory loss, confusion, changes in behavior, or difficulty communicating their needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily nursing care according to each resident’s assessment and care plan.
• Aid with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, positioning, and other activities of daily living.
• Offer reassurance and redirection while maintaining a calm, supportive environment.
• Observe and promptly report changes in resident condition or behavior.
• Assist with meals, hydration, activities, and social programs.
• Follow resident safety protocols and complete required documentation.
• Protect resident privacy and provide care with kindness, dignity, and respect.
• Work as part of the care team to provide consistent, resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current Texas CNA certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and nursing staff.
• Patient, compassionate, dependable, and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Ability to recognize and report changes in a resident’s condition or behavior.
• Memory Care, dementia care, long-term care, or geriatric experience preferred.
