About the role
The Medical Intensive Care Unit provides care for patients who have undergone various critical surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Takes vital signs
- Assists patients with basic hygiene and activities of daily living
- Performs various service duties and technical tasks under the supervision of Registered Nurses
- Adapts to the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations
Requirements
- Certified as a Nursing Assistant by the State of Maine and registered with the State of Maine Registry
- Experience as a CNA for 0-6 months, with on-the-job training provided
- Full-time, night shift positions available
- Weekend availability required
Qualifications
- Current MaineHealth member employees and former members are ineligible for the sign-on bonus until more than 6 months have passed since their last employment with MaineHealth
- Eligibility for sign-on bonuses based on years of experience: 0-1 years for $2,000, 1+ years for $4,000
