Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Med/Surg (P4C) Part-time, Night Shift 2, 12-hour shifts Weekends Required For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Clinical Nursing Assistants (CNA): 0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,000 (full time) 1+ years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time) 0-1 years of experience eligible for $1,250 (part-time) 1+ years of experience eligible for $2,500 (part-time) Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

About the Role

This 17-bed true Medical Surgical unit (P4C) is adding clinical talent to their thriving team. This unit provides care for adult surgical patients including surgical specialties in joints, vascular, bariatric, minor neurological and gastrointestinal populations. Also provides care to medical overflow. P4C maintains care for patients 24 hours per day, 365 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Takes vital signs
• Assists patients with basic hygiene and activities of daily living
• Performs various service duties and technical tasks under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse
• Considers the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations

Requirements

• Must be certified as a Nursing Assistant by the State of Maine and be on the State of Maine Registry, having completed a six-week or equivalent course
• Experience: CNA experience 0-6 months. On-the-job training provided

• Education: Participates in continuing education relative to role as defined
