Visiting Nurse Health System (VNHS) is hiring for a compassionate, dedicated and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in our Hospice Division serving patients in the Canterbury and Lenbrook Facilities. Serving the Atlanta area for over 78 years, Visiting Nurse is a leading provider of home healthcare, long-term care at home, hospice, and palliative care services. About the Role
A Hospice registered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate care to patients who are terminally ill. The main goal is to help patients feel comfortable and dignified during the final stages of their life. CNAs treat patients with complex care needs at the end of life in collaboration with the clinical team. Your primary function is to provide personal care and related health care services to patients in the home to assist in providing a safe and sanitary environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and related health care services to hospice patients in their homes.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment for patients.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to deliver compassionate end-of-life care.
Requirements
- High school graduate, GED, or equivalent in training and experience.
- Successfully completed a Certified Nursing Assistant program.
- Certified as a nursing assistant in the state of Georgia.
- Current CPR certificate.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a hospital, nursing home, or home health agency, or completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program within the last 24 months.
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English effectively.
- Demonstrated interest in the welfare of the ill and elderly.
- Ability to pass a written competency test.
- Familiarity with general computer use, including usernames, passwords, internet, email, and navigation of desktop or laptop systems.
- Reliable transportation.
Pay
$34,059.31 - $51,088.96 per year.
