Visiting Nurse Health System (VNHS) is hiring for a compassionate, dedicated and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in our Hospice Division serving patients in the Gwinnett County area.

About the Role

A Hospice registered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate care to patients who are terminally ill. The main goal is to help patients feel comfortable and dignified during the final stages of their life. CNAs treat patients with complex care needs at the end of life, in collaboration with the clinical team. Your primary function is to provide personal care and related health care services to the patients in the home to assist in providing a safe and sanitary environment.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate, GED, or equivalent in training and experience.
  • Successfully completed the Certified Nursing Assistant program.
  • Certified as a nursing assistant in the state of Georgia.
  • Current CPR certificate.
  • At least 1-year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a hospital, nursing home, or home health agency, or within the last 24 months has completed a Certified Nursing Assistant program.
  • Able to read and write in English and follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
  • Demonstrated interest in the welfare of the ill and elderly and a desire to provide care in the home.
  • Ability to pass a written competency test.

Skills

  • Familiar with general use and functions of a computer, including usernames, passwords, internet, email, and navigation of desktop or laptop (starting programs, using files, windows, navigation buttons, and toolbars).
  • Ability to self-manage online HR services and online training programs.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

Pay

$34,059.31 - $51,088.96
