Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Full-Time Over-Night Shift

About the role

The Eventide Jamestown Care Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to work Full-Time Overnight Shift (10:30p-7:00a), 64-72 hours per pay period. The schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized attention to encourage residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing.
• Carry and follow assigned resident care plans at all times.
• Assist residents with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, etc., as indicated on resident care plan.
• Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each resident.
• Interact with residents with warmth and compassion.
• Follow policies and procedures regarding the safety of residents, others, property, and oneself.
• Comply with rules and regulations set by the North Dakota Department of Health and CMS.
• Report any incidents or evidence of abuse, neglect, or violations of residents' rights promptly.
• Maintain a safe, neat, and clean environment.
• Answer residents' call lights and alarms promptly.
• Perform tasks such as checking vital signs, residents' weights, applying lotions, etc., as identified by the care plan.
• Lift, move, and transport residents using appropriate equipment as identified by the care plan.
• Absorb and escort residents for appointments and activities, as needed.
• Document and record care provided and other pertinent information.
• Follow proper safety and infection control procedures.
• Assist with resident personal laundry as needed.

Requirements

Essential Job Functions:

• Current North Dakota Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
• Ability to lift and move residents as required.
• Knowledge of residents' rights and responsibilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with residents with warmth and compassion.
• Compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Experience working in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.
• Previous experience as a CNA.

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and strength to assist residents with mobility and daily living activities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to document care accurately.

Pay

The pay range for CNA positions at Eventide Jamestown Care Center is $22-$24.64 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, and location.
