Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) | Emergency Department | PRN Day

About the role

The Emergency Department Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting with unit/patient care needs under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Has full access to patient health information. May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent (unless a current high school student participating in the CATS program for NC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
• Listed with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Service Regulation in good standing

Essential Physical Requirements

• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position, including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
