About the role

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), your primary responsibilities include providing quality nursing care, promoting resident rights, and maintaining individualized care plans.
Responsibilities
- Ensure individualized care plans are followed and communicate relevant information to care planning staff.
- Attend to resident needs, including grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinence care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliance management, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, and communication.
- Maintain skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damages through appropriate interventions like turning, repositioning, and moisturizing.
- Protect residents' belongings and report any missing items promptly.
- Take vital signs, weigh residents, apply creams/ointments, collect specimens, lift, move, and transport residents safely, adhering to proper body mechanics or lifting techniques.
- Document care in accordance with departmental policies.
- Follow prescribed safety and infection control procedures.
- Communicate and interact tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
Requirements
You currently possess a CNA certification in the state of employment and can obtain a CPR/BLS card.
