Certified Nursing Assistant, CNA

About the role

Located in Waimea, Kauaʻi Island, this position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for full-time employees. Additionally, tuition reimbursement for career advancement up to $3,000 is provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care and promote resident rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality.
• Individualize care plans and communicate specific information, changes, and observations to care planning staff.
• Attend to resident needs, including grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, and communication.
• Maintain skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage through appropriate interventions.
• Protect personal belongings of residents and promptly report missing items.
• Take vital signs, weigh residents, apply creams/ointments, collect specimens, lift, move, and transport residents safely.
• Document care in accordance with department policies.
• Follow prescribed safety and infection control procedures.
• Communicate and interact tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

Requirements

You currently possess a CNA certification in the state of employment and have the ability to obtain a CPR/BLS card.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CNA certification in the state of employment.
• Ability to obtain a CPR/BLS card.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills.
