About the role
Newton Village, a Cassia community, is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join their team in Newton, IA. The position offers a supportive environment where your work is valued every day.
Responsibilities
- Assist with ADLs for our residents, including toileting, bathing, dressing, and other activities of daily living.
- Work collaboratively with other CNAs and Nurses to ensure quality care for our residents.
- Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
- Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse according to the individualized care plan.
- Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse, and respiration as instructed.
- Report changes or concerns to the RN.
- Document services performed on a computerized charting system.
- Absorb residents with prescribed program activities.
- Observe residents and report any changes in physical and emotional condition to the supervisor.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Current IA Nursing Assistant certification required.
- Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff.
- Ability to work a consistent work schedule.
