About the role

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) I provides basic level CNA care assisting in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Eligible candidates are hired into a full‑ or part‑time CNA position.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
• License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Experience: Less than six months of CNA experience

Pay

Base pay range: $20.27 to $24.36 per hour. Compensation for part‑time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with scheduled hours and applicable full‑time equivalent (FTE).

Sign‑on bonus (limited time):

• Full‑time: 0‑1 years experience – $2,000; 1+ years experience – $4,000
• Part‑time: 0‑1 years experience – $1,250; 1+ years experience – $2,500

Bonus amount prorated for part‑time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former members ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
