Responsibilities

  • Ensure residents' comfort and assist in achieving their highest practicable level of functioning.
  • Aid in daily living activities such as hygiene, oral care, dressing, and grooming.
  • Follow the plan of care for hygiene, oral care, dressing, and grooming.
  • Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
  • Maintain residents' rooms in a neat, orderly, and clutter-free condition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing with the state and maintain certification throughout employment.
  • Meet state and federal requirements, typically 12 hours of in-service education per year.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions to perform job tasks.
  • Recent education or clinical hours are required.
