Certified Nursing Assistant
Duties Description
The Certified Nursing Assistant will provide skilled care to the veterans and their dependents who reside at our facility, such as but not limited to: bathing, dressing, feeding, general hygiene, transferring residents, care of ostomies, colostomy & ileostomy, maintenance of individual range of motion to prevent contractures, recognizing and reporting abnormal signs and symptoms of common conditions/diseases, measuring and recording fluid intake, and assisting the health care team in treatments and observations, along with all aspects of daily living care.
Minimum Qualifications
A current New York Certification as a Nursing Assistant.
Reassignment
Current New York State Department of Health Veterans Home at Batavia employee with permanent or contingent permanent status as a Nursing Assistant Certified.
Additional Comments
One permanent, non-competitive, full-time appointment. The posted salary range includes statutory hiring rate at step 4 and job rate for CSEA Grade 8 ($40,391 - $49,743), plus an additional geographic pay differential of $4,000.
