Certified Nursing Assistant

Responsibilities

• Aid residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Provide mobility assistance for residents with mobility issues, including transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Accurately document all care provided, changes in residents' conditions, and other pertinent information in electronic health records.
• Report any changes in residents' conditions or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor promptly.
• Assist with feeding, meal preparation, and provide companionship to enhance residents' quality of life.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• Ability to lift and move residents, as well as perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
• Current CNA certification in Nebraska is required.
