Certified Nursing Assistant

About the role

Provides basic nursing care to patients under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team or unit.

Responsibilities

• Aids patients with activities of daily living.
• Helps maintain a safe, comfortable environment conducive to the physiological and psychosocial well-being of the patient.
• Notifies the Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse of relevant changes in the patient's condition, including vital signs, level of consciousness, pain, breathing pattern, drainage, amount of bleeding, mood, and changes in capabilities or limitations.

Requirements

• Recent experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
• Graduate from high school or its equivalent.
• Current California Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• MAB (Medical Assistant Basic) certification.
