About the Role
This position supports patient care activities under the supervision of a licensed nurse, focusing on routine and clerical tasks within a nursing unit.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, including documentation and room preparation.
- Transport stable patients safely while maintaining confidentiality.
- Manage supplies, equipment, and unit errands to ensure a well-organized environment.
- Support patient comfort by replenishing essentials and assisting in creating a safe, clean setting.
- Perform unit-specific care tasks per skills checklist, monitor patient condition changes, and report promptly.
- Respond to emergencies, patient call lights, and communicate effectively with team members.
- Adapt care methods to meet patients' physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs, ensuring individualized care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Patient care experience in an acute setting (advantageous).
- CNA license and BLS certification (required).
Schedule
This per diem role involves working from 7AM to 7PM.
