About the role

Our Nursing Assistants are more than just caregivers; they are friends and companions to our guests. They build relationships with our patients and families while providing assistance with activities of daily living. Our Nurse Assistants are uniquely positioned to notice changes in mood and behavior that are key in helping our clinical team recognize potential medical issues. We rely on our CNAs as they are a fundamental and valuable component of our clinical nursing team.

Pay

• Base wages: $17.50 – $20.00 per hour (based on years of certification)
• Hero Pay: +$3.40 per hour
• Shift Premium: +$1.00 – $1.50 per hour for 2nd or 3rd shift
• 2nd shift total: up to $24.90 per hour
• Yearly wage increases

Schedule

• 8-hour shifts
• All shifts include rotating weekends and some holidays
• Full-time or part-time positions
• All shifts available
• We can work with your scheduling needs

Responsibilities

• Perform and document patient care using individualized care plans as a guide
• Provide bathing and all activities of daily living related care, such as skin care, preventative and supportive care, routine morning and evening mouth care, shaving, and dressing
• Perform and document nutritional intake, blood pressure, TPRs, catheter care, bowel/bladder training, weights, turning, positioning, range of motion, and ambulation
• Support physical, psychological, occupational, speech, restorative and recreational therapies by positively encouraging and promoting continued well-being
• Observe and report significant changes in routine or condition to the nursing team
• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in every daily interaction with guests, their families, and visitors
• Through kind words and encouragement, promote a positive, healthy environment in which to heal and thrive

Requirements

• Completion of an approved Nurse Assistant training program
• Current CNA certification required from the State of Michigan
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care
• Team player, dedicated to doing what it takes to support team members and get the job done
