Certified Nurse Midwife - Part-Time -Portland, Maine

About the role

The OB/GYN team at Maine Medical Center Portland is seeking a part-time (24 hours/0.60 FTE) Certified Nurse-Midwife to contribute to their commitment to diversity, excellence, and patient health. The CNM will provide care in the OB Emergency Department, conduct postpartum rounds and discharges, supervise labors, and assist in births with the resident team. This is a clinical teaching position where the CNM will educate residents and medical students.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in the OB Emergency Department
• Perform postpartum rounds and discharges
• Serve as a labor coach and attendant during births
• Teach OB/GYN residents and medical students

Requirements

• RN and CNM licensure by the Maine State Board of Nursing
• DEA number
• Certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board
• At least three years of CNM experience
