Certified Nurse Midwife - Part Time!
About the role
This position will be part-time and responsible for 24-hour call up to 2 times per week. Great opportunity for supplemental income at a well-established OB practice!
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive prenatal visits and provide education and counseling to expectant mothers and families.
- Provide labor and delivery care, including attendance at vaginal births and support for natural and low-intervention birth experiences.
- Manage postpartum care, including lactation support and follow-up assessments.
- Perform routine gynecologic exams, family planning counseling, contraceptive management, and menopause care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, lab work, and ultrasounds within scope of practice.
- Maintain thorough documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Participate in rotating call coverage, including nights and weekends.
- Provide patient-centered care in alignment with practice philosophy and standards.
- Collaborate with OB-GYN physicians, nurses, and office staff for seamless patient care.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Nurse-Midwifery from an accredited program.
- Current and unrestricted RN license.
- National certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
- Current BLS and NRP certification (or ability to obtain).
- Minimum of [1–2] years of midwifery experience preferred; new graduates considered based on fit.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a private practice setting.

Requires full range of body motion, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Involves standing and walking. Requires normal speech and visual acuity and hearing. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires working extended hours in hospital setting. Requires covering call day, night, and weekend hours. Requires call coverage during holidays.

Frequent exposures to hazards found in clinic environments and hospital settings involving direct patient care.
